Boutique Strategy & Transformation Advisory

Built for the moments
that define a business.

We partner with boards, executives and investors at the point of inflection — led by a principal who has owned the P&L, run global operations and delivered transformation from the inside.

15+years in the operator’s seat

A career spent owning P&Ls, leading global supply chains and advising boards — in PE-backed and multinational environments.

40+countries

Business reviews, operating roles and engagements delivered across six continents — based in Vancouver, London, Boston and Singapore along the way.

100%principal-led

Every engagement is led personally — no leverage model, no hand-offs, no junior benches.

Services

Advisory built for
consequential decisions.

Four disciplines, one standard: rigorous thinking, candid counsel and outcomes that endure beyond the engagement.

Industries

Depth where it
matters most.

We go deepest where we have operated first-hand — and bring disciplines that travel to any sector.

Energy & Infrastructure

Utilities, data centres and electrical infrastructure — field services operations, asset strategy and the talent, safety and delivery models behind critical power. Built on first-hand experience running utility-embedded field operations.

Technology

Software, connected products and digital platforms — go-to-market strategy, pricing discipline and the operating rigour to scale revenue without scaling chaos.

Manufacturing

Footprint strategy, electronics supply chains and the make-vs-buy calls that decide unit economics — from plant-level cost programmes and competitor teardowns to multi-region rationalisation across billions in COGS.

Private Equity

Supporting funds and portfolio companies across the deal cycle — commercial diligence, 100-day plans and value-creation programmes, informed by operating inside PE-backed governance and reporting to investors weekly.

Start-ups & Scale-ups

Helping founders build the company around the product — operating models, pricing, go-to-market focus and the financial foundations to grow from first traction to institutional readiness.

Small & Medium Businesses

Big-company rigour, right-sized — margin improvement, pricing, growth and succession planning for owner-led businesses that want senior counsel without the big-firm machinery.

Sector depth, not sector limits — pricing, operations, transformation and governance are disciplines that travel wherever the decision is consequential.

Track Record

A record built in the
operator’s seat.

Results delivered by our principal across operating and advisory roles. Organisations are described, not named — the numbers speak for themselves.

Energy & Infrastructure · Turnaround

Rebuilding the margin engine of a utility field services business

Took P&L ownership of a $12M+ electrical field services operation at a private equity-backed industrial services company — restructured the labour model, replacing high-cost contractors with a directly hired technical workforce, and secured a five-year utility master service agreement.

+12ptsgross margin, from 36% to 48%, within months

Sales & Channel · Growth Strategy

Finding $200M of share in a market everyone thought was covered

Designed and led a growth strategy for the electrical contractor channel of a $1.6B go-to-market organisation — mapping wallet share across 70,000 contractors, exposing zero-coverage accounts and realigning field sales around them.

$200Min share expansion from a $350M growth programme

Manufacturing · Footprint Strategy

Rationalising a global footprint of 41 factories

Led multi-year manufacturing footprint strategy for a global electrical products division — plant dedication, make-vs-buy and regional sourcing across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, including €9M in savings from structured competitor teardowns.

€2.5Bof COGS under strategy across three continents

How We Work

Four ways to
engage us.

Every engagement is shaped around the decision at hand — but most begin in one of four ways. All of them are led personally, end to end.

01

Diagnostic Sprint

Two to four weeks to get to the truth of a situation — margin leakage, growth stall, operational drag — and a clear, prioritised path forward. Often the start of a larger engagement; always valuable on its own.

02

Transformation Programme

Three to twelve months alongside your team, designing and delivering the change — operating model, footprint, pricing, turnaround — with governance built for momentum, not meetings.

03

Interim & Fractional Leadership

A senior operator in the seat when you need one — interim VP or executive roles, or a fractional strategy and operations leader for businesses not yet ready for the full-time hire.

04

Board & Investor Advisory

A standing relationship with founders, boards and investors — monthly counsel, deal support, 100-day plans and an experienced second opinion before the decisions that matter.

Every engagement begins the same way: a conversation, a candid view on whether we’re the right fit, and a scope defined in your outcomes — not our hours.

Insights

Thinking worth
acting on.

Perspectives from the front line of strategy and transformation — written for decision-makers, not for the archive.

Operations

Cost programmes built on contractors leak margin

Outsourced labour looks flexible until you price the quality, reliability and rework. The case for owning your workforce — with the numbers to prove it.

Strategy

What a competitor teardown actually tells you

Reverse engineering a rival’s product reveals more than its bill of materials — it exposes their factory economics, sourcing choices and where you can win.

Pricing

Pricing is the fastest margin lever you’re not using

Value-based pricing on low- and mid-volume products routinely lifts margins by double digits — and almost nobody does the work to capture it.

Who We Are

A boutique by
conviction.

Inflection Partners was founded on a simple belief: the most consequential decisions deserve someone who has made them before — not a leverage model. We are deliberately small, deliberately selective and personally accountable for every outcome we put our name to.

Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, we work globally — operating out of hubs in London, Dubai and Singapore, with active client work spanning North America, Europe and the Middle East. We bring the rigour of the world’s leading consultancies with something most of them can’t: a principal who has owned the P&L, run the operations and answered to the board.

Senior-led

You work with the principal — on every engagement, at every meeting.

Independent

Our only interest is your outcome. We have nothing else to sell.

Accountable

We define success in your numbers, and we stay until it shows up in them.

A footprint built in the field, not from a head office — business reviews, operating roles and engagements across 40+ countries on six continents.
